Reminder!!

Please remember to return your child's letter to them.  The students will be opening their letters tomorrow in class to see if they have persuaded you or not. 

The Friday we get back from break we will be making our tie-dye shirts.  If you are able to volunteer to help that afternoon, that would be GREATLY appreciated.  I plan on starting the tie-dying after lunch at 12:15.  I will be doing other light and color activities that day with the kids.  If you are able to help, please let me know.  Also, please remember to turn in a cotton t-shirt prior to April 16th.  Make sure your child's name is on the tag or collar.  Thanks!!

We are running low on our snack supply in the classroom.  If you are able to donate something to the class: pretzels, Cheezits, animal crackers, etc. are great ways to give students who forget a quick and healthy snack.  Thanks!

Please don't forget your child's travel poster is due on Monday. They are to research a country other than USA please! Otherwise, we will have a very boring window of 23 USA posters! :) Here is the rubric with the directions if you need.

Lastly, next Friday is the Read In in the evening. I will be a "celebrity" reader from 7:20-7:35. I believe the celebrity readers will be "performing" in the library. I hope to see you there!!

Leprechauns on the Loose!

Well, we had a little excitement in the room today. The kids went to music and then we all rushed out to recess. When we came back in, we had discovered that our room was messed up by some leprechauns! Can you believe it? They left us some green drink and even messed with some of the students by turning their desks around. We knew it had to be leprechauns because of the gold glitter left and some kids found footprints! It was a crazy afternoon!

Haley's desk was one of the few that were messed up!

Abbie's desk was disturbed too. She kept saying, "I can't believe leprechauns were really here?!"

Jack's desk was the first one we discovered!

The next homework assignment was sent home today. This is a report that about a country of your child's choice. Sorry, no USA. The rubric went home and tomorrow I will post a link of the rubric online. Have fun. Final country reports are due Monday, March 22nd.

Publishing Party!

Don't forget...Tomorrow is our second publishing party of the year.  The students are really excited to share your stories with you!  The party will begin at 12:15.  It will last about 45 minutes.  Hopefully  you can make it.
