Classrooms Care

We had the opportunity to watch the Taylor Swift webinar today at school.  She challenged students and classrooms to take the Classrooms Care Challenge.  It is a literacy campaign to motivate students to read, as well as teach them the importance of giving.

Every student is challenged to read 10 books at home by Dec. 17th.  When they have finished, Scholastic Book Clubs and its charity partners will donate ONE MILLION BOOKS to Kids in Need!  All your child has to do is record the books they read at home on the bookmark.  I ask that you initial it and send it back.  It’s that easy!

Reminders!

Tomorrow is pumpkin math day!  Don't forget to wear clothes that might get a little messy!

Also, students who are wishing to be our class representative needs to have their speeches turned in tomorrow!  We will be holding our election tomorrow!!!!

Bi-weekly Notes

Due to the specials being mixed up because of the MEAP testing, I was unable to finish the notes in time.  They will be sent home on Monday.  Sorry!

Also, next week we will be having a few fun activities!  On Wednesday our class will participate in a webinar sponsored by Scholastic with Taylor Swift.  Thursday is our fun afternoon with Pumpkin Math!  And don't forget Hollywood Squares at 8:45 on Friday, party will follow and parade will be 10:30.  It's going to be quite a FUN week!!

Red Ribbon Week

This week is Red Ribbon Week.  It is our time as a school to show our spirit for being DRUG FREE!!   Each day this week, we will be having a theme day.  Please be sure to have your child show their spirit!
