Reminders...

Next Monday, October 26th, the plant projects are due. Please make sure your child brings their completed project and article in to share. These will be on display for a few weeks!

Monday we will also be having our pumpkin math day. If you volunteered to help, please be at school by 1:30 with a decent sized pumpkin. The festivities (and messiness) will begin at 1:45. We will be in the science room.

Friday, October 30th, we will be celebrating Halloween. From 8:45-9:30 the students will come to the gym to watch their SUPER HERO teachers challenge students to the SUPER HERO OLYMPICS. Students will be allowed to purchase tickets this Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at lunch for their chance to be one of the students selected to challenge the teachers. From 9:30-10:30 the students will celebrate Halloween in the classroom and at 10:30 the annual Switzer Halloween parade will begin. Don't forget FRIDAY, OCTOBER 30th IS A HALF DAY!!

Please remember that we do have peanut allergies. If your child eats peanut butter for breakfast, please make sure they wash their hands before coming to school. Also be very cautious and read the labels with any Halloween treats.

Thank you to all the October birthdays for helping make our birthday celebrations so wonderful. Check out the link for great birthday ideas if you are stuck!

Wednesday- BEING DRUG FREE IS NO SWEAT--Wear sweats or warm ups
Thursday- I CAN, YOU CAN, WE CAN BE DRUG FREE-- Bring in a can or box to donate
Friday- DON'T BE TRICKED, DRUGS ARE NO TREAT- Wear your costume to school

Please have your child show their spirit and their support for being drug free by wearing the theme for each day. Thanks for your support!

Thank you!!

We have celebrated two birthdays so far this month. They were both a success and didn't include sugary sweets. The kids loved the Halloween pencil goodie bags on Friday and loved the glow sticks and snack. Thank you for your cooperation. Here is the copy of the Birthday Celebration Sheet that was handed out at Open House. Thanks again!!
